The Motorola Edge S, which last week presented high performance to Snapdragon 870 on AnTuTu, it was officially launched in the Chinese market by Lenovo this Tuesday (26/01). As promised by the manufacturer, the flagship is the first in the world to be available with the processor, a modernized version of the Qualcomm 865+ ready to work with 5G technology.
Released on promised date by Lenovo, the Motorola Edge S is available in three variants for consumers in China. The most basic model will have 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The mid-range model will be available with 8 GB of RAM and the same 128 GB of storage, while the top-of-the-range model will have 8 GB of RAM and double the capacity, offering 256 GB (UFS 3.1) of total capacity to users.
Prices and more configurations
In terms of photography, the smartphone offers a dual front camera, with a 16-megapixel main lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide secondary lens. The 6,7-inch screen is an IPS LCD, with a resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10.

On the back, the Edge S has four sensors. The main one is 64 megapixels, with an aperture of F/1.7, which offers support for 6K video capture at 30 fps. The wide-angle is 16 MP, while the others are for fixed-focus depth effects of 2 megapixels and a ToF (Time of Flight) sensor, or depth. Other points worth highlighting are the battery, of 5000 mAh, with support for 20W charging, the IP52 certification (against water splashes) and the headphone input (which comes with the flagship, believe it or not) of 3,5 mm.

Finally, the price. The cheapest variant, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, is on sale for 1.999 Yuan (R$ 1.671). The intermediate (8 GB/128 GB) is offered for 2.399 Yuan (R$ 2.006), while the top of the line is sold in the Chinese market for 2.799 Yuan (R$2.341). These are mid-range prices, but it's worth remembering that the values in reais do not include taxes and other import fees, and that Motorola has not yet confirmed when (or if) the Edge S will be launched in Brazil. For consumers in China, deliveries will begin on February 3.
