Mi Band 6 is announced with 50% larger screen, oximeter, and battery for weeks
At the same event that announced the powerful Mi 11 Ultra and other devices, Xiaomi took the time to talk about the update of its smart bracelet, the Mi Band 6. It finally was made official, and while less attentive eyes may look at it and see little that is new, inside this hardware offers interesting new features.
Much bigger screen

Perhaps the first change that the user will notice is that, despite maintaining the design of the previous generation, the Mi Band 6 now takes advantage of more screen space for the screen itself. It has a 1,56-inch AMOLED touch-sensitive display, an increase of almost 50% of the panel to display more information about physical activities. The resolution is 152 x 486, resulting in an interesting concentration of 326 DPI.
60 different themes can be chosen by the user. Some, thanks to the screen expansion, are able to display heart rate data, steps taken, and clock at the same time, each of these information with a unique widget.
Oximeter for pandemic times?
Inside the hardware, the main novelty is the oximeter sensor (SpO2), which despite its presence in the Chinese Mi Band 5, did not make it to the global Mi Band 5. Activity tracking can start up to six different activities automatically just by moving sensors on the user's wrist. In addition, it has improvements for tracking previously launched modes, such as swimming, as well as new activities, such as zumba and even street dancing.

Otherwise, the Mi Band 6 It preserves the good features of its predecessors, such as a battery life of 14 days away from the socket (125 mAh), and simplified charging via magnetic plug. The autonomy can be increased with the high economy mode. Prices start at the equivalent of R$ 200 (direct conversion today, 29/03) for the model without NFC, which should be the global version of the gadget. The model with NFC has a price equivalent to R$ 243, but will not be useful outside of China, as it should be a resource for local digital wallets.
