After having your scheduled launch e leaked because of a case and even appear on pre-sale in a Chinese store, the day has finally come to meet the new iPhone SE. The Apple confirmed today the launch of its cheapest smartphone in 2020 version.
There are three versions, black, white and red (Product Red), with 64, 128 and 256 GB of capacity. All have 3 GB of RAM, although the Apple don't mention it in the specs, and the battery is 1821 mAH according to information from a dealer in China.
The iPhone SE sold in Brazil will be different from the one sold in the United States, ours will be the A2296 model, also sold in Europe, and which has support to bands 28.
The return of the basic iPhone
The name iPhone SE marks the reissue of the smaller-screen model that was very successful a few years ago. The new smartphone has the same design as the old iPhone 8, with its 4,7-inch screen and the home button with TouchID. This screen is a nice improvement over the first-generation SE, which had a 4-inch screen.
The screen has a resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels with a density of 326 pixels per inch. The processor is the A13 Bionic, launched last year with the iPhone 11 line. It is 7,3 mm thick and weighs 148 grams.
The camera is a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera with an F/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization. It records 4K videos at up to 60 frames per second. The front camera has 7 megapixels and an F/2.2 aperture.
The new iPhone is also water resistant with IP67 certification, meaning it can be submerged up to one meter for half an hour).
Abroad, it costs from US$ 399 in the version with 64 GB of capacity, but in Brazil prices start at R$ 3699. The version with 128 GB costs R$ 3999 and the version with 256 GB, R$ 4499.
In the United States, it goes on pre-sale on April 17th, and is scheduled for delivery on April 24th. Meanwhile, in Brazil, Apple has not yet informed what the availability will be.
