iPhone 13 Mini to be released this year, despite 12 Mini failure
Very different from the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, the iPhone 12 Mini was a sales failure for the Apple. According to statistics from Wave7 Research, the Mini was the device of the Apple least popular in its launch week in the last 3 years in the United States. However, despite the flop, the company still intends to insist on the line. It should launch an iPhone 13 Mini and continue its line of more compact smartphones.
According to the leaker Jon prosser, the iPhone 13 Mini will be released this year. He also suggested that the poor sales performance of the iPhone 12 Mini was not due to its specs, but because of the launch of the iPhone SE in mid-2020, which, like the iPhone 12 Mini, is a compact device but wins due to its lower price. Therefore, the Cupertino giant was competing with itself for sales of two very similar devices, but with very different prices.
The idea is that, unlike the 12 Mini, the 13 will have no competition and could perhaps shine in sales this year. This is because the iPhone SE will not have any updates in 2021, according to Prosser. In addition to it, Apple will complement the family with the standard iPhone 13, Pro and Pro Max. Which can, among many things, have a smaller notch. Additionally, Jon Prosser believes that the iPhone 13 family will be portless. In other words, everything will be done wirelessly and there will be no inputs of any kind on the device.
