Rumors are already circulating about the alleged new virtual reality (VR) headset from Apple. According to the website The Information, the gadget should hit the market for a very uninviting price: US$ 3 thousand (R$ 16.337,70, in direct conversion). The idea of launching the product, according to the report cited on the website, is to invest in the virtual reality wave that has taken over the world, competing directly with similar products that are already successful on the shelves, such as Sony headsets, for example.
According to a source close to the development of the VR headset, who says he has seen images of the prototype in the final stages of development, it will be able to offer various functionalities capable of pleasing Apple fans. Among them, the source mentions 12 cameras that will track hand and eye movement and 8k screens. Not bad, huh?
In addition, the headset may have interchangeable straps, which facilitate better adaptation of the user to the gadget and are similar to bracelets. Apple Watch, with an external screen that can be used to show content to people near you or to check information when the headset is not on your head, as well as a mesh fabric similar to that of the company's HomePod speakers. Ideal for gaming, right? By the way: the headset should have its own processor and a control that would be attached to the user's index finger.
It is not yet known whether the headset of Apple would only be available on the market next year. However, the source says that a large-scale line of the product will not be produced, mainly because it is considered an item for a select few. According to the source, Apple would be preparing 250 thousand units of its new product, which would only be sold in one of its stores in the United States.
