Galaxy S21 FE battery capacity and codename revealed

April 26th 2021

Have you seen, in previous leaks, practically all the details that could be present in the new Galaxy S21 FE (Fan Edition), but an important piece of information was leaked only this Monday (26/04). And it concerns the battery that will equip the flagship scheduled to be officially released on the 19rd of August.

According to a recent report by the GalaxyClub, the battery of the R9, codename under which the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition has been worked on, will be 4500 mAh. It is superior to that available on the Entry-level Galaxy S21, but smaller than those present in the S21 Plus and S21 Ultra, which are 4800 mAh and 5000 mAh, respectively. The Galaxy S21 FE's battery can give the smartphone up to a full day of autonomy, that is, away from the socket.

Leaker leaked (almost) everything

Before the information about the Galaxy S21 FE battery was leaked, famous leaker Steven Hemmerstoffer, or OnLeaks, had already practically given the complete technical sheet Samsung's flagship. According to the tipster, the S21 FE is slightly larger than the S21, although it maintains the thickness, measuring 155,7 x 71,4 x 7,9 mm. That is, there was an increase of 4 mm and 3,3 mm in height and width, respectively. The result of this, obviously, is a larger screen as well. Thus, the 6,2-inch screen of the S21 became 6,4 inches in the FE version.

The successor of Galaxy S20FE will have a selfie camera 32-megapixel camera, identical to that found in the A52 and A72 models, but the resolution of the rear lenses has not yet been disclosed or leaked by any leaker. What has been leaked, and should attract the attention of the coolest crowd, is the range of colors of the flagship, which will have models available in gray, silver, green, pink, purple and white, leaving aside the traditional black.

Other leaked but still unconfirmed information indicates the presence of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, an AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 5G support. In addition, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE may also feature a microSD card slot, specification missing in S21 line so far.
