Clubhouse developer reveals progress, Android app could arrive in May
Clubhouse started out as a craze on iOS, but it fell short an Android version, which could arrive in May. The information comes from independent researcher Morgan Evetts, who has been closely following the development of the platform.
It has been discovered that the programmer of the Android version of Clubhouse used her Twitter to show the progress of the work. She even changed her description on the voice platform, to reflect that she now uses a Pixel smartphone instead of an iPhone to browse there. Another programmer works alongside her. Apparently Mopewa Ogundipe and Harsan Sidhu are the two developers assigned to this project to bring the service to the largest mobile operating system.

Rivals already have their own “Clubhouses”
Promised since the beginning of the year, the Android version of Clubhouse promises to bring the fever of voice chat rooms to different users, from those with an entry-level smartphone to flagship users. However, Twitter, Discord, Telegram and many others have already observed that Clubhouse's success is easily replicable within their products, as a new feature, without launching new big apps. Today, Telegram launched a service for scheduling voice calls. Since these companies already have a large user base, the life of the app now restricted to iOS may not be as easy as when it first appeared for iPhones.
For Evetts, Clubhouse is preparing to launch the Android app in May. In other words, a delay of just over five months after the explosion of the service, which initially adopted an invitation system. More recently, the platform launched a monetization program for content creators, as a way to retain talent in the service. In addition, the fundraising that could reach US$4 billion This could give the app the breathing space to promote itself on an equal footing with its rivals. The moment is approaching, and only time will tell whether the service took too long to reach the Play Store or not.
