Call of Duty Mobile: 300 million downloads on 1st anniversary
Call of Duty Mobile has reached the 300 million download mark, announced the game's general director, Matt Lewis, last Thursday (22). The announcement made via Twitter coincides with the first anniversary of the free-to-play game, launched in October 2019.

The numbers of CoD Mobile, in fact, should double soon. Mainly because, this week, after several negotiations, the shooting game finally arrives in China. There, around 50 million users have already confirmed their pre-registration.
“Tencent’s deep knowledge of the Chinese market, parallel to its international operations, Call of Duty Mobile, will help the game succeed when it launches in this country,” explains Daniel Ahmad, senior analyst at gaming consultancy Niko Partners. “Operating Call of Duty across multiple platforms has allowed Activision to reach a wider audience, and the launch of the mobile version has led to an increase in player numbers and revenue for console and PC games.”
Success in the first week
Call of Duty Mobile shook the market in its first week of release, when it reached the 100 million download mark. According to figures from Sensor Tower, the game raised around US$ 480 million (approximately R$ 2,7 billion) in purchases made by players. Brazil, in fact, is the second country with the most installations, behind only the United States. In addition, the game should soon surpass a title from Tencent itself, PUBG Mobile (Playerunknown's Battlegrounds), as the biggest mobile game launch in the world. It also won the award for Best Mobile Game at the Game Awards 2019.
Developed by Timi Studios, Call of Duty Mobile is available for free for Android and iOS smartphones. This month, the game reached Season 11, which features, among other updates, the introduction of the King map, taken from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), and the multiplayer mode Cranked, introduced in Call of Duty: Ghosts (2013).
