Beoplay Portal: Microsoft's very expensive headset with Bang & Olufsen
Microsoft has teamed up with Bang & Olufsen, the Danish luxury equipment brand, to create a headset. Dubbed the Beoplay Portal, in addition to the design that B&O is famous for, the product is expensive, which is also what the brand is known for. The idea behind this headset is to integrate the top of the line accessories of the Xbox Series X, Microsoft's latest console.
There is luxury. The part that covers the ears, the Beoplay is covered in lambskin, while the firmer structures are made of bamboo fiber (a typical feature of the brand). The metal details of the product are made of anodized aluminum.

And this set of elements makes up a headset that costs $499 (R$2871 without taking into account tax and fee differences). That's the price of the Xbox Series X console itself in the US. And it's being sold in three colors: Mist Gray, Black Anthracite and Navy.
For gamers
The Beoplay Portal is an accessory with gaming features. Among the Beoplay's features are adaptive noise cancellation (ANC) and a gaming audio mode that automatically turns on when connected to a console or PC.
The product also has a mobile app that offers other features, including a microphone optimization engine, a sound balance panel for in-game chat, and a voice monitoring feature that filters out external noise to ensure that the user's voice is captured clearly.
The Beoplay Portal's features include wireless connectivity, a USB Type-C cable and a plug to connect to the Xbox console, PC and other user devices (such as a smartphone, for example). It has Dolby Atmos drivers for surround sound and a battery that lasts 12 hours on a single charge.
