Apple launches special edition Beats Studio 3 headphones in partnership with Psychworld

April 22th 2021

Beats, the manufacturer of headphones, Apple, launched today (22/04) a special edition of the Studio 3 Wireless headset in partnership with American streetwear brand Psychworld. The headphones will be sold in the US for US$ 349,99 (R$ 1.920 in direct conversion).

According to the creators of the Psychworld, the project with Beats has been in the works “for some time.” To celebrate the special edition headphones, the companies produced a promotional campaign featuring rapper and songwriter Don Toliver. Last year, Toliver became famous for releasing JackBoys, the first album of the 2020s to reach No. 1 on the Billboard charts.

Psychworld is a relatively new streetwear label that gained notoriety thanks to heavy promotion on Instagram by hip-hop artists like Drake, Lil Yachty and Skepta. The brand quickly sold out of its first product, a $128 hoodie designed by fashion influencer and friend of Drake’s, DJ Zack Bia.

Little news

There's not much difference, however, between the special edition Beats Studio 3 with Psychworld and the standard model. Aside from the neon green branding on the headband, the headphones are identical to the product released in 2017, that is, they have the same features: 40 hours of battery life, active noise cancellation and W1 chip for easy pairing with iPhone.

In recent years, in fact, the Apple has released numerous special editions of the Studio 3, always emphasizing fashion trends. In 2019, Beats launched a Neymar inspired edition, Brazilian footballer for Paris St. Germain. A year earlier, the Skyline collection brought versions of the headphone in special colors: Midnight Black (black), Crystal Blue (blue), Desert Sand (beige) and Shadow Gray (gray).
