After LG mobile's end announced, Rollable and Rainbow leak

LG confirmed that is leaving the smartphone market after more than five years of accumulating only losses with this division of its business, unfortunately devices like the LG Rollable and Rainbow will never see the market, but a leak shows visuals of these cell phones that will now become legends.

The South Korean company could open up a niche in the foldable market with the Lg rollable, which would measure 17 cm x 7,5 cm. Even though it would expand to go from a cell phone to a tablet, its mechanism would be completely different from what we saw with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold. After all, it would not be necessary to unfold it, just release a button that would allow the screen to expand to a larger size.

The LG Rainbow would be the V70, which would somewhat replicate the look of the LG Velvet. Its specifications, like those of the LG Rollable, are unknown, and will remain so since they will never be released. LG has 6,5% of the cell phone market in Brazil, according to Statscounter information. In the lead we have Samsung, in isolation. Xiaomi has accumulated interesting growth in the last two years, and is close to Apple, the third best-selling brand here.

LG's withdrawal and the shelving of the Rollable and Rainbow projects may change this ranking a little, but it is not enough to threaten Samsung or even Motorola. In any case, it is a time for brands to increase their market share. Since the manufacturer's main products in Brazil involve intermediaries, it is likely that consumers who are orphans of the brand will look for this type of device from the competition.
