The new version of the Android operating system is expected to be officially released soon and leaks have shown that it will have a new user interface e other resources. However, what the site XDA Developers had access is not speculation, but a real taste of what is to come. The site's staff had access to a user version of the operating system so that they could learn about the news. The highlight of this demonstration of Android 12 is that it will be able to run two apps at the same time.
Called App Pairs, the feature first appeared in a developer build of Android 12. Google usually releases this build for professionals to test, and not all of the features will make it into the final OS update. However, the XDA Developers team had access to a user build that contained the multitasking app.
This is an Android 12 tool that will allow users to run two apps, which are often used together, at the same time and with a split screen. Apparently, it will be possible to configure this feature to choose which apps should be used simultaneously and even the position in which they will appear on the screen (which will be on top and which will be on the bottom). In the demo, it is possible to see that there is even the option to pin one of the apps to the top of the page so that you can switch the one below.
So far, that's all that's known about the tool, which is still incomplete and has some bugs. However, since it appeared in a user version, even if not finished, instead of the developer version, everything indicates that the feature will actually be released when Android updates.
