Android 12 was announced and Google has confirmed that we will see the biggest visual overhaul of the system since Android 5 Lollipop. The “pure” interface has gained several new elements, and we are gradually starting to see new features and changes in function access. For example, the alarm will be accessible via a button in the quick access.
Those using Android 1 beta 12 are reporting that alarm settings no longer appear at the top left of the screen when the notification bar is highlighted. In the new version, however, the icon indicating that an alarm clock is activated continues to appear in the top icon bar on any screen.

This change by Google is due to the alarm now being one of the quick settings buttons in the notification bar, when fully expanded. The user can disable all alarms using this button, or access the alarm app to set new timers. This button also reveals which is the closest alert to be activated.

Changing alarms could be optional in Android 12
It's worth remembering that this is just the first beta of Android 12, so this new feature for alarms — and other features — may not be implemented definitively. In addition, every year Google releases guidelines that determine which new features are mandatory, optional, or banned (usually restricted to Pixels, or are for full use in future updates).
Therefore, depending on how this change is classified, manufacturers may or may not maintain the ability to view and access alarms as they are today. Android 12 is expected to be officially released at the beginning of the second half of the year, but test versions are already available to the general public on selected devices from Xiaomi, Oppo, OnePlus, Realme and others.
