Among Us will get new colors and fixes

April 29th 2021

The mobile game most downloaded of 2020 continues to receive several updates during the Covid-19 pandemic. The most recent was one made on 12/04 (version 2021.4.12), which fixed some bugs and updated some translations and texts. Now, the next update of Among Us will have new colors, a new meeting screen, 15-player lobbies and fixes for bugs that occurred during the game.

No blog announcement, InnerSloth reveals that one of the bugs reported by users of Android and Chromebook that will be fixed is Pink Blobs, where users reported that sprites (which make the graphic character move or walk) appear as a pink rectangle. The company itself assumes that “Android devices are always particularly complicated because each individual device has its own features that we need to consider!”

Bugs such as authentication issues, scaling, text and font fixes will also be fixed. Other bugs reported by players include missing skins, lag and visual glitches, where the company responsible for the game says it is aware of the issues, but that they may not be fixed now. The new meeting screen will undergo some changes and will be presented with the aim of increasing the size of the lobby.

New colors in Among Us

It is also said that 6 new colors are coming in this update for Among Us. The game's developer reveals the reason for adding new colors: “Considering all the colors we already have, it was kind of hard to find colors that will automatically be visually distinct from all the others. But in terms of accessibility and color blindness, we hope to move away from colors as the defining way people identify themselves. However, we are working on ideas for that”. InnerSloth will also update new art styles, that is, it will add clearer lines to the scenarios and characters.

It was not said when this update will arrive exactly, for now on the game screen, the last update was made on 12/04. Remembering that Among Us is available for iOS devices for App Store, Android by Play Store, Computers (via Steam and Xbox Game Pass) and Nintendo Switch.
