Adobe releases document collaboration in Photoshop and other apps on Mac and iOS

Adobe today (09/02) released an update to its editing and creation programs Photoshop, Illustrator and Fresco, which allows collaboration on Mac and iOS. The feature is called Invite to Edit and should allow users to work on the same document, one at a time. In fact, its latest app called Fresh also received the collaborative work update.

To use the collaboration tool in Photoshop on Mac and iOS, the document in PSD format must be hosted in the cloud via the Creative Cloud desktop app or via this site. So, when you open the document in any of the Adobe software, just click on the icon in the upper right corner, enter the email of the person who will collaborate on the project and that's it. As soon as you close the file, your work partner will be able to make their changes to the artwork.

Syncing Presets on Mac

And it wasn't just the new collaboration feature in Photoshop and other apps that Adobe brought to the world. Another tool released in today's update was Preset Sync, which allows you to synchronize designer presets so they can be accessed wherever you are. This means that brushes, swatches, gradients, patterns, styles, shapes and more will be accessible on any Mac or Windows computer that has the update. To do this, the user needs to go to the software's settings and activate the Sync Presets feature.
