All about the best cell phones

This week, Google announced that it is adding more apps and features to Android Auto, even for cars that already have the system built in, without having to connect your phone. Now, you can use Prime Video directly on your car's multimedia center.

What do you need to know:

  • Starting this week, Android Auto and Google Buil-in are receiving more applications to work natively on the multimedia center.
  • The first app to stand out is Amazon's Prime Video, which brings the entire streaming catalog for use in vehicles.
  • It is important to note that Prime Video is only accessible when the car is parked, allowing access even to live content.
  • Additionally, users will have the option to use the Vivaldi browser to access any website and The Weather Channel weather app.

Little by little, users are receiving more native applications for use in the multimedia center of cars with Android Auto or those that use Google Built-in. Recently, the Digital Look highlighted the ability to join Zoom and WebEx meetings. Now, Prime Video has been added as an option to watch movies, series or live TV while on the road.

Amazon's streaming service, Prime Video, is only activated when the car is parked. At that time, the entire Prime Video catalog can be accessed directly. The app is available on Google Play for cars with Google Built-in from Renault, Polestar and Volvo, with other brands planning to make it available gradually.

Android Auto also gets weather forecast

In addition to the video service, the Vivaldi browser, which uses the same engine as Chrome, is available in its native app and allows you to view any website on the internet. Finally, the weather forecast app, known as The Weather Channel, will soon be available not only for cars with built-in Android, but also for Android Auto when used to mirror the phone.
