On Tuesday (29), Asus refuted the idea of ​​ending the Zenfone smartphone series. Last Sunday (28), speculation about the possible end of the devices and the supposed conclusion with the Zenfone 10 model gained prominence online.

A day after speculation that the Zenfone 10 would mark the end of the device line, Asus issued an official statement.

The company reinforced that the model will continue production.

“We would like to address the rumor that the ASUS Zenfone 10 will be the last generation of the series and the ASUS Zenfone product line will be discontinued. This is not true. We will continue our two flagship phone product lines, the ROG Phone and the Zenfone.”

• The strategy would consist of closing the line to focus efforts exclusively on ROG Phone gaming smartphones.
• As detailed in the publication, the development team responsible for the Zenfone 10 would have been the last to work at Asus on a device with a conventional appearance, not aimed at the gamer audience.
• Allegedly, this team was dismantled and redeployed to other projects, with a portion being reallocated to create new models for the ROG Phone line.
