There were rumors pointing to the Galaxy S23 FE launching during the fourth quarter of 2023. Now, a recent leak is increasing the expectation that the next smartphone in the Fun Edition lineup will be launched soon.
During last Wednesday (23), the leaker – term known as information disseminator, Yogesh Brar, revealed a series of specifications of the S23 FE and announced that the device is scheduled to be launched in September.
Recently, a Samsung spokesperson told Android Authority that the announcement of the next model in the FE line was approaching.
These details reinforce the previous leaked information, which pointed to the presence of an Exynos 2200 chipset, a 6,4-inch screen with AMOLED technology and wireless charging.
In the post, Brar highlights the following specifications:
- 6.4″ FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED, 120Hz;
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and/or Exynos 2200 chipset;
- Camera set of 50MP (with optical image stabilization) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 12MP (telephoto);
- Selfie: 10MP;
- Operating system: Android 13;
- One UI 5.1 interface;
- 4,500mAh battery, support 25W charging;
- 4 years of operating system updates and five years of security updates;
- Wireless charging;
- IP rating.
As highlighted by TechRadar, if the specs are accurate, the S23 FE will be significantly underpowered compared to the standard S23 model, which is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. If Samsung decides to launch the smartphone with the Exynos 2200, this performance difference will be even greater.
Galaxy S24 will have a significant design change; understand
Recently, Ice Universe, known for anticipating information from the Samsung world, shared that the S24 and S24+ will feature straight edges, more similar to the foldable models Z Fold and Z Flip than to the S23 and S23+ — the latter, despite having flat rear surfaces, exhibit slight curvatures on the sides.
