Google is rolling out an update to its health tracking app Fit that will centralize your health records across all your devices into a single interface. The update, available for Wear OS, iOS and Android, will concentrate data collected from six indicators and display them in the new section, “Browse”, located between the Diary and Profile tabs.

The new category will display six high-level information indicators, each with performance data, graphs and statistics. They are: Activities (exercise indicators and calories burned), Body measurements (weight, height and body fat), Vital Signs (heart rate, breathing and the like), Nutrition (hydration and calorie consumption), Sleep (sleep schedule and duration) and Menstrual Cycle.

Records can also be adjusted manually

The Google Fit update will also allow users to manually adjust their records. This will allow for more precise control of data that was not properly transposed, such as daily water consumption, or that needs to be readjusted, such as the menstrual cycle. To improve each of the indicators, the app will also suggest other apps from the Play Store, focused on physical activity, diet or sleep.

Additionally, Google Fit will have an exclusive function with the Google ecosystem. Apple, to collect data from the backend of the iOS Health app to integrate with the records. The function, of course, will only be available if the user used the utility of Apple to collect information as well, but it will be especially useful for those who want to improve health with the program.

In addition to the adjustments to the records, the Google Fit update also allows users to control the apps that are synced to the utility. It will also be possible to choose which apps access the data present in Google Fit and, if necessary, remove their access. Finally, in the Profile tab, there was a modification that changes the control “Manage your Fit data” to “Delete your data”.
