All about the best cell phones

Many people feel a chill down their spine just thinking about the possibility of being without an internet connection on the street or in a place where there is no Wi-Fi signal, but those who have friends who can route internet never go offline. If you are one of those people who are always connected, who never let go of their cell phone and are always up to date with everything that is happening, you know how complicated it is when your mobile data plan runs out. Fortunately, there is a way you can ask a friend for help, so you don't have to go through this ordeal. If you don't know how to route internet to another cell phone, check out our tips in this post.

Almost every smartphone can perform this simple and useful task. This happens because the device's internal network card can switch from being a signal receiver to a signal transmitter. This, of course, can only be done with the help of the device's operating system. On both Android and iOS, the process is very simple and even safe. Below, you will find the step-by-step instructions for each operating system. This way, you can help your friend when the internet runs out or teach him how to help you when you're in a tight spot.

On android
  • Go to Settings and then tap Connection;
  • If the mobile data package is not turned on, turn it on;
  • On the Connection screen, scroll down until you find the Router & Tethering option and tap on it;
  • Three options for routing the internet signal will appear: via Wi-Fi, via Bluetooth or by USB. To share mobile data with another smartphone, you need to choose between Wi-Fi and Bluetooth;
  • You can give your network a name and a password, this way you ensure that only those who have this information have access to your mobile data;
  • Once this is done, the receiving cell phone simply needs to search for your network in the list of Wi-Fi networks or pair it with your device via Bluetooth, enter the password and start browsing.
On iOS
  • Go to Settings;
  • Just below your account Apple, you will see the connection panel. If your iPhone already has mobile data activated, the Personal Hotspot option will be visible. If it is not there, just activate mobile data;
  • Tap Personal Hotspot, then enable Allow Others to Access;
  • A pop-up should appear with the options Enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth or Enable USB, choose the first one;
  • Below Allow Others to Access you can set the password to access your network;
  • Finally, the receiving cell phone needs to access your network from the Wi-Fi networks list or pair with your iPhone via Bluetooth, enter the password and start using your mobile data.
Some precautions

Using your cell phone to route internet to another cell phone can be a real help, but you need to be careful. Both cell phones will be consuming a single data plan, so it is a good idea for people to make an agreement so that they do not download too many images or GIFs or watch videos. many videos so as not to ruin the plan of whoever is routing.

Additionally, it is always important to remember to create a password for your network that will be routed. This prevents people nearby from also taking advantage of the open signal and surfing the internet, consuming your data. It also prevents malicious people from taking advantage of possible gaps and access your personal data.
