The 2nd generation of the Motorola Edge, which could be called Edge 2 or Edge 20, seems to be close to being confirmed by Lenovo, the owner of the brand. After the leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) release the first technical details of the future flagship, some specifications have been leaked on the TENAA website, China's regulatory agency (similar to our Anatel).

The listing on the certification website revealed the presence of at least two models of the smartphone, registered under the codes XT2143-1 and XT2153-1, which would be, respectively, the entry-level and Pro variants of the Motorola Edge 20. Both would have the same dimensions (163,5 x 76,2 x 7,1 mm) and the same weight (165 grams), in addition to sharing the same screen size. It would be OLED, 6,67 inches, with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Processor and more

The exact processor of the 2nd generation Motorola Edge cannot yet be pinpointed, but the TENAA website listing indicated that it is a 2,4GHZ octa-core, which could indicate the presence of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G under the hood. The smartphone would come with three different RAM memory options (3, 6 or 8 GB), which would be paired with three internal storage options (12, 128 or 256 GB). All versions would run the Android 512 operating system and would feature a shortcut to Google Assistant on a physical button.

The leak this Thursday (08/07) also indicated that the Motorola that has been pointed out as Edge 20 will have a 3760 mAh battery, with support for fast charging, in addition to a fingerprint sensor. Previous information indicated that it could reach the market, maybe until the end of July, in a wide range of colors (black, silver, white, green, blue and gray).

Regarding cameras, what we have so far is what was revealed by leaker Evan Blass regarding the Pro version. It should arrive equipped with a 32-megapixel front lens and a 108-megapixel (main) + 16-megapixel (wide-angle) + 8-megapixel (telephoto, 3x zoom) telephoto camera. There is, for now, no rumor about the price that will be charged for the Motorola Edge 20.
