If you lived through the 2000s in the prime of your life, you probably knew the Nokia 7210, famous for being indestructible (which gave it the reputation of being a brick). If some rumors are true, this classic cell phone is about to get a new look, but with a completely different feel. Apparently, HMD Global intends to turn the old Nokia 7210 into a modern smartphone to be relaunched in better conditions in today's competitive market.
Information is from the website Xiaomi Today who got images of what could be the next smartphone. Far from being a version feature phone, the Nokia 7210 should get an upgrade in its appearance and configurations. The device will become a full-screen smartphone and may carry the future processor Snapdragon 888 Pro, to ensure flagship power.
Powerful cell phone
In the images revealed by the Xiaomi Today portal, it is possible to notice some details of the device, if they are real, of course. Its full screen does not even have space for a front camera, but since there is also no space for pop-up or sliding cameras, it is possible that future images will reveal more about the subject. It is speculated that the screen material is LTPO and that it has a refresh rate of 144Hz.
The back of the phone shows a camera module with three lenses, with the main sensor following the square pattern of Nokia lenses. The source also revealed to the portal that it is possible that the main sensor will have approximately 100 MP or more. The Tech Shockin channel went further and created a video about the possible Nokia 7210 Supernova, including images (like the one highlighted in this post), specifications and prices in India, check it out below.
If this information is confirmed, this could be a launch outside the standard that HMD Global has adopted. The company has only been launching entry-level or mid-range devices, such as the nokia c20 plus e Nokia X50 5G among others. With that, the new Nokia 7210 could be one of the first powerful flagships to be launched (or relaunched in this case) by the manufacturer. It is worth remembering that, at least for now, all we have are rumors, a video and some blurry images, so you don't need to count on this (re)launch.
