Promotional videos of the new headphones WF-1000XM4 Sony's videos have ended up giving very curious clues about an important detail of a possible one: the camera under the screen. Although, at first, it gives the impression that the actors in the videos are holding a model Xperia 1III, when the scenes show the phone from the front, you can't see it the hole dedicated to the flagship's selfie camera.

In the first video, which is 40 seconds long, the device's screen appears in its entirety, with a very thin notch at the top. In addition to the very small space, there is no noticeable hole in the area. The scene continues with the actor descending a staircase and activating the noise cancellation of the WF-1000XM4 to immerse himself in a playful environment with a girl playing the song that the boy had put on his phone on a piano.

The second teaser shows the father answering a video call from his daughter on his very possible Xperia 1 IV, right at the beginning, with the child appearing on a screen equipped with a camera underneath (going by the impressions that emerge). Just like in the video above, also 40 seconds long, the phone that appears has a very small notch in the part where the hole for the front camera should be, if we were looking at an Xperia 1 III. The noise cancellation feature of the WF-1000XM4 is then activated by the father, so that he can listen carefully to what his daughter is saying.
Too early to show up?
Um third video posted on YouTube by Sony's official channel on the same date as the other two above, it shows a girl sitting in a very busy place. With her phone in her hands, getting ready to watch some kind of movie about space travel, you can notice a slightly larger notch on the vertical edges. Of the three videos, this is the phone that most resembles the Xperia 1 III, with the hole for the selfie camera appearing, albeit briefly.
Taking the first two videos as a reference, we can speculate that they are a way for Sony to show a likely design of its next flagship, as a sort of tease to its customers. Or perhaps it could simply have been a way for the creators of the videos to edit the selfie camera in search of an aesthetic that they thought would be convenient for promoting the headphones. It is still too early to say one way or the other, after all, we are talking about a cell phone model for next year, but showing it now would be a bit hasty, since much of the world is still in the dark. is waiting the Xperia 1 III will be released for sale.
