All about the best cell phones

There is still a long way to go, but information is already emerging about the line of iPads scheduled for 2022 and next year's iPad Pro should support the technology MagSafe. The change was expected, as the feature was one of the main new features of the last generation of iPhones.

With this, several accessories and charging bases were launched by Apple and it is natural that the iPad will also become compatible with the new feature, even if it is only in 2022. The information was revealed by Bloomberg, in the same report that points to the launch of a new iPad Mini which may come out later this year.

MagSafe as we know it today was introduced in iPhone 12 (Before that, the nomenclature referred to the magnetic charging connector on MacBooks). The function serves both to charge the smartphone and to magnetically connect special cases and covers.

iPad Pro with MagSafe

On the iPad Pro, MagSafe is expected to be attached to the back of the device along with a new glass cover that will also bring wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. However, according to the report, the device is still undergoing tests on these features.

Being widely used as a work object, the iPad Pro with MagSafe should allow for a much wider range of accessories compatible with the tablet, from stands to position the product at different angles, to more powerful speakers and microphones for meetings.

The Bloomberg document also reveals that, in addition to the iPad Pro in 2022, Apple must still launch two new tablets in 2021. One of them would be a basic iPad, aimed at students and a more affordable price (for the brand's standards). The other would be the iPad Mini 6, which should have a design very similar to the iPad Air 4, but with a smaller size. There is no information on whether MagSafe will be compatible with other versions of the iPad besides the Pro.
