More than 10 years after the release of League of Legends, Riot Games launched Valorant in the middle of last year. Now, after the great success that Valorant achieved on desktops in less than a year on the air, Riot Games announced that it is developing the mobile version of the game. The company has already managed to implement the version of its oldest game for mobile devices recently with League of Legends: Wild Rift.

Riot's social media has not yet officially revealed the information, but according to information on the website Polygon and Anna Donlon (executive producer of Valorant), the mobile version of the game does not yet have a release date, but it is expected to be released after the 2nd anniversary of the PC game. According to the producer, Valorant Mobile would not be just a game migrated from one platform to another, but rather an exclusive version for mobile players, providing a unique experience, just like they did with League of Legends.

Donlon says that the company’s intention is not to replace the PC game with the smartphone version. Therefore, one version would not affect the other. She states that “In the same way that we will not deliver a subpar mobile experience to mobile players, we will also not compromise the PC experience. We are not trying to convert PC Valorant players to Mobile Valorant players or vice versa. […] We are absolutely committed to keeping the PC experience at the quality level that it is or higher, and we will not compromise that in order to serve the mobile market.”

Valorant's executive producer also revealed that the team analyzed whether it was viable and possible to bring the game to mobile devices. "We didn't start with 'Let's make Valorant for mobile.' We started with 'Can we make Valorant for mobile?' and a lot of skepticism. In our opinion, everything you can get playing on PC, you should be able to play Valorant on mobile, but we have to recognize that the mobile player is different," said Anna Donlon.
