Not every company likes to release headphones at a frantic pace: Samsung maintains an average of two products of the type per year, but we don't see any releases for Apple since 2019. Many assumptions accounted for at least a new model in 2021. And well, Bloomberg reinforces this: according to the vehicle, the Apple prepares the AirPods 3 for the current year, with a Pro model arriving in 2022.
The new “basic” device would even have a Pro look, with the stems being shortened, leading to small design changes. The charging case will also have a new design, and it is possible that it will maintain wireless charging, already implemented in the second generation of AirPods. However, we should not see any truly Pro features in the AirPods 3. This is because we are talking about a new generation for the most “basic” line of wireless headphones from Apple.
AirPods Pro in 2022, with new sensors and look
While the AirPods 3 would arrive in 2021, the AirPods Pro, to be released in 2022, would feature a host of new sensors, including new motion engines for fitness metrics. It is quite likely that the headset will integrate well with the Apple Fitness and other health resources from the company, now that the company has made official products in this regard, such as Fitness Plus.
Regarding its design, it could abandon the stems and have a look closer to what we see with the Galaxy Buds Pro, in a preliminary comparison, since there are no images of this new look. Apple, however, would be studying implementing this look with Beats headphones in 2021.
Lastly, the AirPods Max headphone would not yet be in the process of receiving a new generation, despite the flaws of the current project. The Apple would be studying the launch of it in new colors, as happened with the iPhone 12 when it received a purple finish. We are talking, however, about a much more expensive sound device, priced in Brazil at R$6.899.
