Samsung may debut the “FE” nomenclature in tablets with the Galaxy Tab S7 FE. The name appeared in a Google Play Console registration. Rumors about the new tablet have been around for some time, but until now the name given as likely was Tab S7 Small.

“FE”, for Fan Edition, is the term used in the Galaxy S20 FE (and should come to the S21 as well). It consists of an updated version of the standard smartphone, but with some cuts to reduce costs. The idea is that this model will be launched in the interval between generations.

In the case of the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, Samsung should do something similar. Leaks already indicate that the model should be a premium mid-range model, keeping much of the original S7 but costing less. Thus, it was expected that it would be called Lite, as has happened previously.

All Android models need to be added to the Google Play Console. In addition to the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, the registration also includes a 5G version of the tablet. In addition to the name, there is also an image confirming that it will look the same as the rest of Samsung's lineup.

Second viscous, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE will have a large, 12,4-inch LCD screen surrounded by thin black bezels. On the back, there are two visible cameras, but the configurations have not been disclosed at the moment.

What is also notable is the presence of the S Pen, the popular stylus, which will make the tablet an even more direct competitor to the new generation iPad (which should come with the Apple Pencil 3). The other hardware configurations, such as the processor, RAM and internal storage indicate that the Galaxy Tab S7 5G will hit the market strong, to compensate for Samsung's long absence in this segment. The indication is that it will have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 750G under the hood, accompanied by at least 4 GB of RAM and running Android 11, under the One UI 3.1 interface. The launch is expected for June.
