Starting today and running for the next three weeks, the long-awaited trial between Epic Games and Apple about Fortnite being removed from the App Store. But on the very first day, the public audio call from trial was kidnapped by fans and players of the game Epic, and it took a long time for court officials to figure out how to mute these participants.

According to VentureBeat, the “hijacking” of the trial Apple vs. Epic was not an orchestrated action. The call-in number for the District Court where the dispute is taking place is available on their website. Players joined the line to listen to the proceedings, but soon realized they were not muted, and began chatting.

VentureBeat also listed some of the funniest moments from the courtroom chaos. One player led the crowd in chants of “Epic Games! Epic Games!” Another commented: “Tim Sweeney better know what he’s doing. If he messes up once, we won’t get iOS back. By the way, this call is live.” Another person responded with, “They fucked up and lost their iOS app.” One participant put Travis Scott, who performed for millions of people on Fortnite, on the call. Another player pleaded: “We just want our phones back. I’m too poor to buy a console.”

And of course, when it comes to gamers, a lot of people chose to swear a lot, and one YouTuber even took the opportunity to promote his channel.

Eventually, the court's IT staff managed to mute those participants and the proceedings could continue. U.S. District Judge Yvette Gonzalez Rogers also assured that further hijacking of the line would not be a problem in the future.

The judgement Apple vs Epic Games will decide all the controversy over the decision of Apple to remove Fortnite from its app store for alleged breach of contract related to internal payments. For its part, Epic accuses the Apple de anticompetitive practices and monopoly on this same issue.
