Garmin, which recently launched a line of smartwatches aimed at the female audience, announced two models for the Venu 2 series, both equipped with GPS and other cutting-edge technologies. Like the new smartwatches from other brands, the main focus was on the fitness universe.

Dan Bartel, Vice President of Global Sales from Garmin, explained that “they were the result of Garmin’s policy of enhancing healthy and better living through smart wearables.” The executive further said that the Venu 2 series provides exciting new tools for determining various aspects of fitness and health, as well as tools for improving overall fitness every day.”

main highlights

Both smartwatches in Garmin's Venu 2 line have some very interesting features, such as GPS, sleep mode tracking and monitoring for up to 25 different types of sports workouts. Some of the most popular workouts are walking, running, cycling and swimming. Through monitoring, the user can track the evolution of their physical fitness, always with heart rate monitoring, another feature integrated into smartwatches.

The design of the pair is slightly different. The Garmin Venus 2 has a 45mm case and 22mm band, while the Venus 2S has a 40mm case and 18mm band. Both, however, cost $400, have a stainless steel bezel, and an AMOLED touchscreen covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 2.190.

Another highlight of the new Garmin smartwatches from the Venu 2 line, in addition to the GPS and settings already mentioned, it's the battery. According to the manufacturer, it promises to last up to 11 days on a full charge in smartwatch mode, and around 8 hours in GPS mode, while the Venu 2S can last up to 10 days in smartwatch mode and around 7 hours in GPS mode. Both models offer ultra-fast charging capability.
