The Black Shark 4 line it was launched recently and the channel JerryRigEverything has already put its hands on the smartphone for its traditional extreme endurance test. Devices in the gaming segment are built to better handle hardware stress, but did the flagship gamer survive to tell the tale?
Starting with the screen, the Black Shark 4 showed that, like most phones with an AMOLED panel, it is difficult to scratch the touch-sensitive area. The sides, with metallic paint, are easily peeled off with a stylus. Note that the presence of two physical trigger locks makes the edges a region of many reliefs, but none of the physical keys came loose during this attempt to scratch them.
A problem point was discovered during the attempt to peel off the back: plastic, it wasn't difficult to make a custom design with a scalpel. The camera housing, however, is well protected. Even though it's not the focus of the product, the Black Shark 4 has three of them on the back, and all of them came out alive in this resistance test.
During the attempt to bend the smartphone, another good result: the device withstood pressure from both its plastic back and its screen. In neither scenario did it crack, it was only bent, but fully functional.
The same cannot be said of the external cooler that comes with the kit: out of curiosity, the YouTuber disassembled the piece and revealed its relatively simple but fragile operation, and did not bother to reassemble it. In any case, the Black Shark 4 showed in the resistance test that it is a robustly built gamer option. It is worth remembering that RoG Phone 5 e Lenovo Legion Duel 2 can't say the same...
