All about the best cell phones

Google has a set of tools associated with its email service that allow you to perform tasks, often more focused on work reality. These are: Chat, Rooms and Meet. Now, a new update to the Gmail app lets you access these features directly in the email service through new tabs.

Previously, some of these tools were only available to users on Google's business plan. However, the company decided to make them available to general users. The problem is that they all needed their own app to work, which ends up taking up a lot of space on your phone and makes the process (of using them all) impractical, taking up time for those who use them for work.

The solution to this was to integrate the features into the Gmail app itself with the new tabs. This way, you can access chat, rooms and even participate in a meeting about the latest email all in one place without having to download so many apps. The update is still in the testing phase, but it is already available for both Android and iPhone.

How to configure the new tabs feature

To enable the possibility of using all the tools, follow these steps: tap the 3-bar icon at the top left of the Gmail app (or drag the main screen to the right), go to Settings, tap the account you want to apply the tool to, go to Chat (early access) and enable it. A pop-up will appear announcing that this is a test. When you tap Test, the app will restart and the tabs will be at the bottom.
