All about the best cell phones

The operator Vivo and Itaú Unibanco have relaunched the Vivo Itaucard credit card, which in addition to facilitating cell phone purchases, also offers other benefits. The card released in 2009 brought a similar proposal, in which customers earned bonuses for Vivo-to-Vivo calls, according to the top-ups made with the Vivo Itaucard, and earned points on purchases made with the card, which would be used when exchanging their devices.

Up to 10% cashback for purchases at Vivo

The current offer offers cashback of up to 10% for purchases made at Vivo and up to 0,5% for purchases made at other establishments. In addition, the new credit card from the partnership between Itaú and Vivo allows payment in up to 21 interest-free installments on purchases of cell phones and accessories at Vivo's own stores and on the website. In some cases, customers can even eliminate the annual fee on their Platinum card. Customers also earn cashback when paying bills for postpaid and controlled plans, internet, TV, prepaid credit top-ups, cell phone insurance and purchases on the Vivo marketplace platform. Living.

Rodrigo Gruner, Vivo's director of digital services and innovation, says that "the company continues to advance its strategy in the financial services area". Rubens Fogli, director of Itaú Unibanco, points out that "the relaunch opens a new chapter in the bank's partnership with the telephone operator, with a new business model".

Banks, cards and cell phones

At the moment, the credit card can be contracted on the websites of Living e from Itaú, under the Visa and Mastercard brands. The new card is offered in the Gold and Platinum categories and has contactless payment technology and, in the coming months, should be available in the operator's physical stores.

In August last year, Itaú also began a partnership with Apple in a program called iPhone forever. In this, the customer chooses, on the bank's website, the iPhone model of their preference from the available options and has 70% of the value of the device paid in installments over 21 months.

Itaú also partnered with Samsung

As for the credit card, Itaú entered into a partnership with Samsung and, together, they launched the Samsung Itaucard in February of this year, under the Visa banner. The card offers advantages to customers such as, for example, payment in up to 21 interest-free installments when purchasing products from the Korean company's website. And speaking of Samsung and cards, at the beginning of the month, we publish that the company announced with Mastercard the development of a biometric credit card, which has an integrated fingerprint sensor.
