As promised by Vivo Global, the iQOO Neo5 was launched today, March 16. The flagship is a smartphone that has a series of advanced features for a lower price, compared to the main players in the market. To start, the phone comes with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 870 5G chip, which is positioned as a gamer version of the Snapdragon 888, but is more like a Snapdragon 865+ Plus.
Gamer with little gamer face
Even without a gamer look, the iQOO Neo5 launched today does indeed bring interesting hardware for gaming: up to 12 GB of RAM with 128 or 256 GB of internal UFS 3.1 storage. The internal disk technology will ensure faster file transfer rates, meaning shorter loading screens in games.

The 6,62-inch OLED display has Full HD resolution, as well as HDR10+ certification and peak brightness of up to 1300 nits. The refresh rate is up to 120Hz, alongside the touch sampling rate that reaches 1000Hz. The latter serves to ensure minimal delay between an interaction on the screen and a response on the phone, particularly useful for FPS games.
The iQOO Neo5 also features a 4400 mAh battery. It's not the largest in its category, but it can be recharged with accessories up to 66W. The phone's box, however, comes with a 45W charger, which should also ensure a short recharge time. Other interesting points involve connectivity, with the presence of Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 6.
Triple rear camera

Although it appeals to gamers, Vivo has included an interesting set of lenses here: the rear offers a 48 MP F/1.8 main sensor with optical stabilization, and a 13 megapixel ultra-wide lens with 120º range, which also works as a macro camera for objects at a maximum distance of 2,5 cm. There is also a third 2 MP sensor, black and white, to assist with portrait mode. The front has a 16 megapixel camera.
Finally, another concern that Vivo has taken with the iQOO Neo5 is the inclusion of a graphite sheet that covers the processor with a good safety margin, reaching other parts of the hardware. The material was used because it is more effective for dissipating heat during heavy games. According to the manufacturer, this should offer cooling efficiency up to 210% greater than other gaming phones on the market.
Launched with the OriginOS interface, the iQOO Neo5 arrives with Android 11, and at an interesting price for a product with these features: the equivalent of CNY 2.499 (R$ 2.161 converted directly today, 16/03) for the simplest model, with 8/128 GB, reaching CNY 2.999 (R$ 2.586) for the version with 12/256 GB. The first sales event will take place on the 22nd in China, and it would not be surprising if it sold out in a few minutes, as usually happens with flash sales of Chinese cell phones in their homeland.
