The new TCL line of smart devices gained, this Wednesday, a smart TV with Android 11 and a removable camera as its main new features. First introduced at CES 2021, the TCL P725 has arrived on the Indian market in four models, all exactly the same in specifications, but with different sizes: 43, 50, 55 or 65 inches.

One of the main new features is the presence of the Android TV 11 operating system on the TCL P725. This gives the TV access to mobile applications. Through the TCL Channel, it is possible to integrate content such as PatchWall, Google Assistant, Google Play Store and all popular streaming services available in India. With Android 11, users will be able to access over 7.000 apps, which can be downloaded via the Google Play Store. Additionally, the TCL P725 has integration with chromecast, which allows you to mirror photos, videos and music directly from devices such as smartphones and tablets.

Video calls on TV

Android TV 11, however, is not the only new feature of TCL's new 4K smart TV. The P725 comes with a removable camera, which can be magnetically attached to the top of the device, which will allow it to be used for video calls, or to participate in meetings via Google Duo (only through this app, at first). Since it is removable, the TCL TV's camera can also be used to take selfies and see the result on the big screen.

Another interesting point, according to the manufacturer, is the use of AiPQ engineering, an algorithm that allows the chipset to process content in real time, detecting the environment and increasing the quality of the display and audio. The image is optimized according to the content. The company makes a flourish and says that “oceans will appear bluer and rainforests will appear more lush”.

The new TCL TV with Android 11 will initially be sold only in the Indian market, and will have the following prices: 43 inches (41 thousand rupees, or R$ 3.234, in direct conversion), 50 inches (57 thousand rupees, or R$ 4.500), 55 inches (63 thousand rupees, or R$ 4.900) and 65 inches (90 thousand rupees, or R$ 7.100). The larger variant will be sold exclusively by Amazon India.
