All about the best cell phones

There are those who “carry their lives” inside their own smartphones and Apple seems to be thinking about them for the iPhone 13. According to analysts at the consultancy Wedbush, the Pro version of the next flagship model would double the capacity, going from the current 512 GB to 1 TB of internal storage.

The first rumor on the subject appeared here in October last year and, about a month ago, it was considered again by the FPT (Front Page Tech) team, in a video on YouTube. Now, the Apple would be willing to incorporate what it has already done in some iPad Pro models and chase its rival Samsung, which also launched versions of the Galaxy S10 series on the market in 2019, with 1 TB of storage available.

More innovations

The 1TB internal storage won't be the only innovation that Apple will offer in the iPhone 13 line. Previous rumors had already indicated that Apple is working on a patent, already approved by the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office), which could make the iPhone 13 screen have the highest refresh rate in its history.

When playing mobile games or streaming apps like Netflix or Disney+, for example, this refresh rate can be multiplied by two, three or even four times, depending on the need. This means that the iPhone 13 can have 60Hz normally, but when performing this type of task, the refresh rate can reach up to 240Hz, something only seen in gaming monitors.

Another new feature that the iPhone 13 could present is the possibility for the user to choose how to unlock the devices: Face ID, which has generated several complaints from users, or the traditional Touch ID on the display, which has been abandoned for some time in the assembly of the brand's flagships.

Sales

Although last week Samik Chatterjee, a market analyst at JP Morgan, released a report indicating that demand for the iPhone 12 series started to fall and caused the projection of the Apple for 2021 production to be changed, optimism regarding the new line is optimistic.

According to Wedbush analysts, the iPhone 13, with 1TB of internal storage and other innovations, could be launched in September 2021, and will be packed for sales of the current series. The consultancy estimates that 62 million units of the flagship will be sold by March, and another 40 million by June.

The total number is higher than JP Morgan's projections of 80 to 90 million units. Daniel Ives and Strecker Backle, analysts responsible for the report, compared the current momentum of the iPhone with that recorded in 2014. "We haven't seen a launch trend this robust for the iPhone in several years. Apple. The only similar trajectory for the iPhone would be the iPhone 6, based on our analysis.”
