The Oculus Quest 2 will now offer prescription lenses tailored for those gamers who wear glasses when they're not playing. In other words, the headset Facebook for virtual reality (VR) immersion allows the insertion of specific lenses for SPH (or ESF, sphericity) prescriptions from 0 to -8 and CYL prescriptions from 0 to -2 (cylindrical).
Given this information, the lenses provided by VirtuClear are for those users who have a degree of myopia or astigmatism, and do not serve those who have hyperopia, for example. In any case, this is a very important advance by Oculus to serve many people who end up missing out on some of the potential that Facebook's VR device can provide.
Ease of installation and glare minimization

These are 1.60 index lenses, very thin, designed to minimize glare and, according to the distributor, are easy to install, simply by attaching the lens inserter in place. Each one has a marking for the right and left eye, which are adjusted individually by the IPD control (a mechanical interpupillary control with sliding mechanism), according to the distance from the player's pupil. Depending on the shape of the user's face, the glasses spacer that comes with the Oculus Quest 2 may also help a little.

To obtain prescription lenses for the Oculus Quest 2, the player must also present an ophthalmologist's prescription at the time of purchase. VirtuClear Lens sales are made only through Frames Direct website and there is not much information about how it works for Brazilian users, including in relation to the validation of the prescription, which is requested when the purchase order is placed.
The price of VirtuClear lenses on the official Frames Direct website is US$80, which in our currency is approximately US$446, without any additional fees or taxes. The new product for the Oculus Quest and Oculus Quest 2 can be used on either model. The buyer also receives a case to store the lenses and a cloth to clean them.
