All about the best cell phones

Samsung is about to launch another model that will join its family of rugged phones called Galaxy XCover. Last year, the line received two products, the XCover Field Pro which came out at the beginning of the year and the version XCoverPro, with a launch in mid-October. Now, it's the Galaxy XCover 5's turn to hit the big-name world, and it's already leaked with its specifications.

Galaxy XCover 5 specifications leaked on Twitter

The specifications were leaked by leaker Sudhanshu on his Twitter profile. In the tweet, he shows an image often used in other models in the line and reveals that the new product may have a 5,3-inch screen with a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. To protect this screen, the device may come with a raised border. In addition, the tweet informs that the cell phone will come with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage (no information on whether it can be expanded). For photos, there will be two cameras, a rear camera with 16 MP and a front camera with a mere 5 MP.

Although the leak doesn't say anything about the processor, with these basic configurations, the rugged device shouldn't receive a top-of-the-line SoC. This also indicates that the Galaxy XCover 5 won't support 5G networks. For those unfamiliar with Samsung's rugged line, the number 5 is because it's the successor to the XCover 4 launched in 2017. In addition, the battery should have 3000 mAh with a 15W charger and USB Type-C input.

Additionally, we have a possible release date. User Nils Ahrensmeier, who writes for the German website TechNik News, responded to the tipster's tweet with the specs, adding the information that the Galaxy XCover 5 is expected to launch in late March this year.
