Mike Lindell, CEO of pillow company MyPillow and staunch Trump supporter, has just been permanently banned from Twitter, losing access to around 500 followers. A spokesperson for the social network told VICE News that “the aforementioned account has been permanently suspended for repeated violations of our Civic Integrity Policy”. The CEO had been making several false claims about the 2020 US election on the platform.

Lindell, a close friend of Donald Trump, suggested on Twitter that the former president should impose “court martials” in states where he was contesting Biden’s victory. In another tweet, the CEO said that Georgia voters should be arrested for Trump’s loss in the state. Lindell is also accused of Fund buses for the “March for Trump”, which ended with the invasion of the Capitol and five deaths.

In addition to being banned from Twitter, the Trump-supporting CEO, who was planning to run for governor of Minnesota, has been facing several other problems. Major American retailers, such as Bed Bath & Beyond, have announced that they will stop working with MyPillow. Retailers claimed the decision was driven by falling sales. But Lindell, like a good boomer, blamed “cancel culture.”

“Retailers are afraid of being boycotted by customers because they live in fear of all these attack groups. But these groups are not their customers. What will happen now is that their real customers will not be happy,” the CEO said. told Business Insider last week.

In addition to all this, Dominion Voting Systems, a hardware and software company for electronic voting, indicated that it should sue Lindell in billions of dollars for spreading conspiracy theories about the company's machines.
