All about the best cell phones

The Motorola Nio release date has not yet been revealed, but the device has been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance. We have already shown it here on Vida Celular that it could arrive in the first quarter of 2021. Before the launch of the new cell phone, leaked images showed its possible design (unconfirmed) a few months ago, and the specs were also revealed on last month.

A real image of Motorola's new smartphone was posted by the tipster Evan Blass in Voice, revealing the screen with two circular cutouts for two front cameras. Now, the Motorola Nio has appeared on the Wi-Fi Alliance website, revealing some more details.

The Wi-Fi Alliance is a non-profit organization that certifies Wi-Fi devices and promotes wireless technology. The certification doesn't reveal much about the Motorola Nio's specs, other than the fact that the device supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2,4GHz and 5GHz) and runs Android 11. Other than that, the Wi-Fi Alliance says the Nio smartphone is one step closer to being released.

Another report from the Wi-Fi Alliance also reveals a 5000 mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging. The device is expected to come with the 865 Qualcomm Snapdragon 2020 chipset, paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, which is likely expandable with a micro SD card. Thus, the Motorola Nio would be a flagship smartphone, but with last year's flagship processor, its price could be more competitive.
