Donald Trump had his account on YouTube blocked this Wednesday (13) for at least seven days. That is, until next Wednesday, the 20th, the day of Joe Biden's inauguration.

The last video posted by the channel has been taken offline and it cannot upload new content or broadcast live for a week. The deadlines may be extended, according to the statement released by the company. The video platform is yet another network to block access to the profiles of the US president after the protests that culminated in the invasion of the Capitol during the certification of the Joe Biden's victory.

“After careful review and in light of concerns about the ongoing potential for violence, we have removed new content uploaded to the Donald J. Trump channel for violating our policies. She has now received her first strike & is temporarily restricted from uploading new content for a *minimum* of 1 days,” the statement on the official channel reads. A strike, a baseball term, is a violation. Under the rules, if Trump receives another strike, he will be banned from YouTube for two weeks. After the third strike, the account will be permanently deleted.

Kicked off the internet

Donald Trump's life is not easy, before YouTube, platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram have blocked the accounts of the current US president. “After a thorough review of recent tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context surrounding them, we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.” Twitter reported on Friday (8).

Hours after removing from its platform and Instagram a video of Trump directed at supporters, as well as his subsequent post about alleged fraud in the presidential election result, the Facebook reported the action and announced new updates in its content moderation policy.

The statement was made in a company publication called “Our Response to Violence in Washington.” The letter was signed by Guy Rosen, Facebook’s vice president of integrity, and Monika Bickert, vice president of Global Policy Management.

With Trump expelled from these networks and now YouTube, his son, Donald Trump Jr. even suggested to the hyper-billionaire Elon Musk to create his own social network. For “freedom of expression”.
