A similar but reasonably improved version of the Oppo A15 smartphone, the Oppo A15s, has just been launched in Singapore. The launch comes a few weeks after the leak of its technical specifications, which got most of the information on the device right.
Technical specifications
As expected, the Oppo A15s features a 6,52-inch LCD display with IPS technology and HD+ resolution of 1600×720 pixels. Regarding the cameras, the leak narrowly missed the number of megapixels for the front camera. Although it predicted 5 MP, the Oppo A15s was launched with an 8 MP front camera. But that's okay, because that's the only "mistake" revealed by the leak.
In addition, the smartphone has three rear cameras, according to what was previously reported. The triple system comprises a 13 MP main camera and two 2 MP cameras, one ultra-wide and the other macro.
Its storage capacity is 64 GB (double that of the A15), and can be expanded with a microSD card of up to 256 GB. The processor has not changed compared to the Oppo A15, it is the same MediaTek Helio P35. What has changed, however, is the amount of RAM, which has gone from 3 GB to 4 GB, a small but very welcome difference.
Like the previous model, the Oppo A15s battery also has 4230 mAh, which means a battery life of a whole day of use, if not more. The Android interface used by the device is ColorOS 7.2, based on Android 10, and the smartphone comes with some functions and tools to improve its performance. Among them, Hyperboost 2.1, Frameboost and Touchboost stand out, all used for a better gaming experience on the cell phone. In addition, there is Memory Defragmentation 2.0, used to optimize the device's memory.
The Oppo A15s will be available for purchase across Singapore from this Saturday (January 09), costing 01 Singapore dollars, or around R$199 (excluding taxes and fees). A really interesting price for a very honest entry-level phone.
