At the beginning of 2021, expectations regarding Samsung are due to Galaxy S21 line models revealed. But, the South Korean manufacturer may have another novelty for Unpacked on January 14th, the Galaxy SmartTags.

The devices are small Bluetooth trackers that can be used as keychains. The product's appearance was revealed by a 91 Mobiles report.

Similar to the popular Tile, the Galaxy SmartTags should allow the user to locate any object to which the tags are attached. The document also says that they should be 40 mm by 40 mm in size.

Previous rumors suggest that the Galaxy SmartTags will cost €15 (about $95 in direct conversion) in Europe. The device will also be equipped with Bluetooth 5.1 and will work with Samsung's SmartThings Find feature, which allows you to find connected Galaxy devices.

Market must be competitive

Another traditional company in the smartphone world that could enter the Bluetooth tag market is Apple. Several old rumors suggest that the company works on AirTags, but no information has been officially released.

It is important to note that Tile trackers are quite popular, which justifies the interest of other technology companies in this type of product. If the information is confirmed, Samsung should “pass” the Apple and launch its locator before its rival. It is worth remembering that a few years ago, company launched the Connect Tag, a keychain that tracks the location of a person, pet or object and sends it to your devices.

Samsung's event scheduled for January 14th is expected to introduce the new Galaxy S21. It is also possible that the South Korean company introduce new Galaxy Buds headphones. The expectation is that the Galaxy SmartTags will also be shown.
