YouTube may have decided not to make its Rewind this year, but other platforms like Spotify offer the opportunity to remember what people listened to, did and enjoyed the most in the last 12 months. And now the TikTok also announced its Retrospective 2020 staff for users.

In a video montage, users can look back at their most played tracks, favorite creative effects, most watched videos, and also see metrics for likes, comments, and shares. TikTok's 2020 retrospective also features "vibes," or the type of videos you liked the most, such as dance, cooking, pets, crafts, and even cottagecore.
The retrospective appears in the For You feed or in the special banner on TikTok’s Discover page, but you need to have the latest version of the app. By sharing your retrospective video, you’ll earn a “2021” badge to put on your profile picture. TikTok’s personal retrospective service is available in Brazil, as long as your account has been used enough.
The best of the year on the platform
For those who don't have that much time as a user to generate a set of memories, the platform offers the “Year on TikTok: Top 100”, with the 100 most liked videos of the year divided by “viral”, “memes”, “top creators”, “activists” and much more. And you can bet that you will find that old man skateboarding and drinking cranberry juice while listening to Dreams by Fleetwood Mac among the biggest viral videos of 2020.
“We’re inspired every day by the creativity and heart of our community, and we’re excited to help celebrate all the ways you made TikTok a fun and exciting place to be in 2020,” TikTok’s website reads.
