All about the best cell phones

The launch date of the Mi 11, Xiaomi's top-of-the-line smartphone, was officially confirmed on Monday. The model will hit the market in two weeks, more precisely on Tuesday, 29/12, and should be the first cell phone in the world with the processor Snapdragon 888.

A leaker revealed to GizmoChina that Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun is planning to launch the Mi 11 alongside the Mi Watch Lite smartwatch. The brand's executive did not say, however, whether the event that will present the flagship will be exclusive to the Chinese market or global in scope.

What was told to the site is that, regardless of whether the launch is local or global, the Mi 11 will be put on sale by Xiaomi later this year, either on the same day of the announcement or, at most, two days later, since 2020 is in its countdown. Will the world's first smartphone with Snapdragon 1 really be in the hands of users before 888?

What do we already know about the Xiaomi Mi 11?

Nothing has been openly confirmed yet – except the presence of the powerful processor, in the words of the brand's CEO himself –, but expectations surrounding the Xiaomi Mi 11's configurations grow as the now-announced launch date approaches. And what has already been leaked about the new smartphone?

The flagship is expected to arrive with a curved screen display, similar to the Huawei P40 Pro, S-AMOLED display, with a 120Hz refresh rate and Quad HD+ resolution, with a 20-megapixel selfie camera attached to a hole in the upper left corner of the screen. The rear set of cameras is expected to have a 108-megapixel main camera, a 13 MP ultrawide camera and a 5-megapixel macro sensor.

Some photos that would be of the Xiaomi Mi 11 in full use, in the hands of users, were published by the Russian website mobile phone (see below), but no one has confirmed whether they are actually from the device that will be launched on December 29 by the Chinese manufacturer. Xiaomi may also announce the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro at the event, which would arrive with some differences in configuration (and price, of course) compared to the base model.

The Mi 11 is expected to cost between 4.000 yuan and 4.500 yuan (R$3.100 to R$3.500, excluding taxes or fees), while the Pro is expected to sell for somewhere between 5.300 yuan and 5.500 yuan (R$4.100 to R$4.250, excluding taxes or fees). Completing the speculated configurations is the 4780 mAh battery, with 55W fast charging, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, plus the Android 11 operating system. Not bad, right?
