There’s a good chance we’ll see more foldable smartphones in the near future. Now, Google seems to be really investing more in this segment, with a foldable Pixel coming in 2021. One of the main clues that there’s a good movement in this direction comes from a post made on social media by Ross Young, founder and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), a leading American company for market impressions, analysis and reporting in the digital technology sector.
Second half of 2021 is going to be really exciting for foldable smartphones. At least 3 models from Samsung, 4 models from Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi and 1 model from Google… BTW, no Z Fold Lite - Z Flip Lite. Specs for all are in our latest Foldable Report.

This post serves well as reinforcement for some impressions gathered in mid-2020, when a possible Google document highlighted a device nicknamed “Passport” as being a foldable cell phone.
Arriving late to the party
Google has been considering launching a foldable device on the market for some time now. Whether it will be called “Pixel” is unknown, but the company’s smartphone launches are expected to take place in the third quarter of 2021. What could be new for Google could also be part of the highlights of the launches of brands like Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi next year.
As we can see, Ross Young's post announces that there would be four foldable devices in 2021 launched by three manufacturers, Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi, joining the possible foldable Google Pixel.
The scroll screen mobile phone is only a laboratory test product. It is far from being mass-produced. Next year, it will still be the stage of Fold. Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, etc. will release their own "Fold"

In November, we publish here that an informant known as Ice Universe, very active on social media and who usually announces in advance on Twitter great possibilities of launching on the market, mentioned the same brands in a post that indicated news with folding devices, with the exception of Vivo.
A Huawei already has smartphones with this feature on the market and Ice Universe also mentioned its name in November. Another company that has already launched foldable smartphones for some time is Samsung. However, according to current clues, it may not come with its three new foldable devices for its Z Fold Lite line, but one Z Flip Lite foldable would be right.
If these new features are finally and fully confirmed, we will have a good range of manufacturers, both new and experienced in foldable devices, launching phones with this feature in 2021. A foldable Google Pixel would certainly be a very interesting smartphone to evaluate.
