The next update to Pixel products will come with a system that promises to ensure audio quality according to the acoustics of the environment. Called Adaptive Sound, the audio feature is expected to arrive on Pixel 5 phones.

The name of the new tool may be a bit confusing. This is because the brand's headphones also have a configuration with the same name. But the features are different. In the headphones, the system regulates the sound volume according to the noise around the user so that they can better hear what is playing on the accessory. 

The smartphone version is a bit more complex. While playing music through the speaker, the audio feature can use the microphone to capture ambient sounds and analyze the acoustics of the place. With this, the system adjusts the equalizers to regulate bass, treble and other sound elements to provide better listening of the music.

Before conspiracy theories can arise about how Adaptive Sound works, Google has announced that users need not fear. The audio captured to equalize the acoustics is small, and it is deleted as soon as the system makes the adjustments. Therefore, nothing you say will be recorded and sent to the company's database.

The update seems to have come at a good time, and why not as an apology from the company for the audio defects featured on the Pixel 5. The smartphone has received some complaints from people who reported sudden changes in volume in some situations. The new feature will be available next week.
