A smartphone with a retractable circular (pop-up) camera should be the main novelty presented by Oppo in its new line of devices for 2021.
According to information from the Sparrows News website, the manufacturer, which in 2019 equipped the Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 2 with the look known as a shark fin, patented the innovations in the circular camera to return to the market.
What Oppo's new design for the circular pop-up camera looks like

The Future Technology Conference Oppo (Oppo Anthem Day 2020), initially scheduled for this Tuesday (17), will certainly serve as a source of information for the disclosure of new details about the design and technology that will be used in the patented device.
The retractable circular, or pop-up, camera that Oppo had previously ruled out due to its high cost now appears to be a reality, with images leaked by several international websites focused on news from the technology world. Instead of popping up vertically, as is standard in the industry today, the disc rotates to reveal it.
One advantage of this format, in the concept that has been called Oppo Find X3, would be the possibility of giving the user a practically full front screen, without notches or holes, since the selfie camera would be hidden in the circular pop-up module.
The optical assembly on the back of the Oppo Find X3 would not have a retractable camera, but that would not mean it would not have any new features. The leaked information indicates that it would be made up of three lenses, housed in a rectangular module, which would offer the user a 15x hybrid zoom, better than that used in the old models, which was 10x.
In addition to the Oppo Find X3, with a circular camera, the Chinese manufacturer is expected to present other new products during Oppo Ino Day, scheduled for this Tuesday. One of the most exciting attractions is a smartphone with extendable screen. Not foldable, but stretchable. The technology had already been patented by the company and the conceptual smartphone is already under development.
