It seems that Poco, a subsidiary company of Xiaomi, is planning to launch a new smartphone soon. The news was announced today (17/11) through the Twitter account of Poco's global spokesperson, Angus Kai Ho Ng. The tweet is a response to another post from the spokesperson, published on the same social network in October of this year. In it, it is mentioned that the end of the year is approaching and that Poco has this in mind. The hashtag #POCOcomingsoon hints that a launch will take place soon.

It is not yet known exactly which line the hypothetical new model will be launched under. However, from the image, it is possible to see what appears to be the letter M, hidden by the hands of a Poco employee. This would indicate the global launch of the Poco M line and perhaps the announcement of a Poco M3.

Currently, the Poco M and C line of smartphones are exclusive to India and both focus on refurbished versions of smartphones from another subsidiary, Redmi. An example of this is the Little M2 Pro, identical to the Redmi Note 9. In fact, the M line is not the only one to undergo rebranding, a fact proven by the F2 Pro, rebranding of the Redmi K30 Pro.

Can we think about another Poco rebranding?

Well, there is evidence to believe that the new Poco will also be a rebranding, that is, the launch of another Xiaomi smartphone under the Poco brand. Recently, the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) entered into its database a smartphone with the code name M2010J19CG, which is listed as being from Poco.

Meanwhile, in Singapore, the same model was certificates by the local technology body. According to GizmoChina, the proof that it could be a rebranding is that its provisional name is similar to the name of the (probable) Redmi Note 10. If this is confirmed, the new Poco smartphone will have a Snapdragon 662 processor with 4GB. Likewise, it should run Android 10. Other specifications include a 6,53-inch display, a 48MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, and a battery with a great capacity, 6000 mAh. In addition, the battery will support 22,5-watt fast charging.

It's hard to get excited or discouraged by what's been revealed so far, since much of the information is just hypotheses. Will the new Poco smartphone be a relaunch or not? It's still too early to say for sure. But, given Poco's standards, and the willingness of its spokesperson to reveal news, we can safely wait for more teasers and tweets that will certainly make us even more curious.
