The arrival of Disney + (or Disney Plus) to Brazil further intensified the competition in an already competitive market, and raised a question: which services streaming are they worth signing?
To answer this question, you first need to know what you're looking for in a streaming service. Do you like movies and original productions? Do you prefer series? Or are you more passionate about classic cartoons, anime, and soap operas? By defining this profile, your search will certainly be better targeted and you'll be able to define with greater precision (not to mention saving money) which streaming services to subscribe to.
O Vida Celular has gathered the most relevant information about the main streaming services offered in the country and we have listed below what each of them offers. But remember: the prices in this post may change due to the date, region or specifications chosen by the consumer.
For those who enjoy films, series and original productions
The tips on which streaming services to subscribe to start with the services that stand out for having, mainly, acclaimed films and series, in addition to original productions. Check them out.

Netflix: Certainly one of the first options that everyone who thinks about subscribing to a streaming service will think of is Netflix, one of the pioneers in offering this platform in Brazil. But is it still worth making the platform a priority?
In addition to a wide variety of world-famous films and series, Netflix also has original productions that also tend to captivate fans. It runs well on smart TVs, smartphones, notebooks, tablets and other devices. Monthly plans range from R$21,90 to R$45,90.
There is no official number released by the platform regarding the number of titles available in Brazil, but, according to the consultancy Business Bureau, at the beginning of the year, 2.926 film titles and 950 different series were offered in the country.
Among Netflix's main highlights are the series Lucifer, Emily in Paris, The Haunting of Bly Manor and The Umbrella Academy.

Amazon Prime Video: Like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video also offers well-known films and series, but it also gives viewers the option of getting to know original productions. The subscription costs R$9,90 per month and, according to the platform, you can try it for free for 30 days.
Subscribing to Prime Video also entitles you to discounts on products on the Amazon website and access to Prime Music for three months without paying anything.
Another advantage for those who choose Amazon Prime Video when deciding which streaming service to subscribe to is the possibility of adding extra content to the package, through Prime Video Channels.
The service, which recently arrived in Brazil, offers exclusive channels from five different companies, of course, with additional payments for each of them. The extra channels available are the following: Looke (R$16,90 per month), MGM (R$14,90 per month), Noggin (R$9,50 per month), Paramount+ (R$19,90 per month) and Starzplay (R$14,90 per month).

HBO has separated its streaming service from the channels offered in its pay-TV packages, targeting a different audience that prefers to live online rather than simply rely on a television set.
HBO GO also offers movies and series, but the highlight is the original productions, such as Game Of Thrones, WestWorld or Big Little Lies. A subscription to HBO GO costs from R$34,90 per month.
Are you into movies and classics?

The selection below is for those viewers who really like films, whether they are new releases or great classics from the past.
If you don't know which streaming services to subscribe to, but you have this profile, you can start asking for information about the Telecine Play. Telecine Play, like HBO GO, does not require you to be a customer of a TV operator to access the service.
One advantage cited by the platform to convince moviegoers is that new releases arrive faster on this streaming service than on others on the circuit.
Did you like it? Plans currently start at R$37,90 per month.
Movies, series, soap operas and more: Globoplay is your option

This option is also interesting for those who have not yet decided which streaming service to subscribe to. Globoplay, a platform from the Globo group, has series, films, documentaries and soap operas, in addition to all TV programming, with the possibility of watching the group's channels (GloboNews, Sportv, Viva, Multishow and others) live, via streaming.
The disadvantage compared to its main competitors is that new seasons of popular series, such as The Walking Dead, for example, take longer to become available. The advantage is that other titles, such as Manifest, which was very successful last year, are exclusive to the platform.
A subscription costs starting from 12 installments of R$19,90 per month and, with it, it is also possible to have access to the grid of channels that are found on pay TV. They are: Megapix, BIS, Studio Universal (great for classic films), Syfy, Off and Universal.
Are you addicted to anime and cartoons? Or are your children?

It's time for those who like cartoons and anime to choose which streaming services to subscribe to. And one of the options hasn't even debuted in Brazil yet, but it will be available later this month.
For those who haven't figured it out yet, it's about Disney+ (or Disney Plus), mentioned at the beginning of our report.
The service will go live from November 17th. On the official page, the pre-sale offer promises a discount on the annual plan, which costs R$237,90 upfront – the normal price is R$279,90.
Disney+ promises to put up a strong fight when it comes to which streaming services to subscribe to. The platform will offer subscribers films and series from Disney, Pixel, Marvel, Star Wars and content from National Geographic, as well as documentaries and shorts exclusive to the platform.
Missing the rental store?

O YouTube also has a service available to users that allows them to purchase or rent films or series directly on the platform. It is important to note that this is not the YouTube Premium, a paid service recently launched by the company.
If you choose traditional YouTube, you can find recent films, such as Sonic, on sale for R$34,90 (in SD) or R$39,90 (in HD) and classic titles, such as Gone with the Wind, available for purchase (R$19,90) or rental (R$7,90).
YouTube Premium, in turn, is also an option worth considering. The company offers a free trial month (after that, it costs R$20,90 per month) and promises ad-free content and the ability to listen to music without needing to be connected to the internet. In addition, the service offers YouTube Originals, with original and exclusive series for subscribers.
Closing the list, we have the Crunchyroll. This streaming service is focused exclusively on anime, and has two options for those who enjoy this type of entertainment.
The Premium subscription costs R$25 per month, while Premium+ costs R$40, but offers free shipping on purchases from the Crunchyroll store, as well as VIP tickets to events promoted by the platform.
Among the outstanding animes, we cannot fail to mention the one that is probably the best known today: Naruto.
There is also the possibility of another streaming service landing here in 2021. And what a service! It is the platform Hulu, which already has more than 30 million users around the world and is one of the three largest in the world.
According to the website The Verge, Bob Iger, CEO of Hulu, confirmed that the company intends to take the streaming service to the international market next year. He did not reveal, however, whether Brazil will be part of the brand's expansion plan. Some of Hulu's attractions are well known to Brazilians: Brooklyn Nine-Nine (which Netflix offers here), This is Us and Grey's Anatomy.
Now that you know the main platforms available in the country, you can finally answer the burning question: after all, which streaming services to subscribe to?
