To Innersloth, is implementing a series of changes and improvements to its flagship. One of the main new features of the update is the secret vote mode in Among Us. In this mode, players will be able to vote on who the impostor is without revealing their identity. This gives impostors more opportunities to play their mind games anonymously among their colleagues. The new feature promises to create tension almost on the same level as American elections.

To balance the advantage for the impostor's side with the secret vote, the update will also introduce three new taskbar modes. Currently, the bar on the game screen shows the tasks already completed by the crewmates. This gives the impostor an idea of how much time is left to kill their teammates and sabotage the ship. With the update, it will be optional. The taskbar modes will be “always”, “meeting” and “invisible”. In meeting mode, the taskbar only appears when a player calls a meeting, and in invisible mode, the bar does not appear on the game screen.
Other changes coming: Security logs will be erased if an impostor sabotages the comms, new symbols on the repair wiring task, and cosmetic changes to the meeting window. Additionally, Innersloth has fixed several game bugs.
The developer also shared changes it plans to make. In the future of Among Us, after this secret vote update, there should be a themed map Henry stickmin bigger, with new tasks and larger lobby areas. By the end of the year, Innersloth will also be introducing account and friend lists, which will make it easier to create lobby areas and report toxic players.
